We live in a world with rapidly changing social, economic, and cultural contexts. To meet today’s challenges, we urgently need leaders who are empathetic, insightful, and highly skilled. These challenges demand a collaborative, creative, and data-driven approach, combining critical and holistic thinking with strong communication and social influence skills to solve complex problems. These are the hallmarks of a liberal arts education, which is further the foundation of individual and societal flourishing. The interdisciplinary approach of a liberal arts education encourages both breadth and depth of learning, developing students into lifelong learners. IIMB’s undergraduate program fosters globally minded leaders and professionals through interdisciplinary studies in arts, humanities, and sciences, aiming to create a more equitable world.
Admissions
Applications for the inaugural cohorts will open in September 2025, with the first batch scheduled to begin in August 2026. Each programme will begin with an intake of 40 students, bringing the total cohort size to 80 students per year during the initial two years. As infrastructure at the upcoming new campus develops, intake will scale. The curriculum will integrate economics, data science, philosophy, communication, and ethics — courses crucial for an education that informs in terms of both knowledge and judgment. The balance of depth and breadth is expected to set these programmes apart from other UG offerings in India. Faculty from IIMB and leading global institutions will draw on social and data science frameworks to support more inclusive and evidence-based approaches to development.
